Video Editing
Already as a small kid, I searched for ways to express my creativity. Before I started to dive deeper into level design and game development, the two main activities I focused on were drawing cartoons and making short movies. Today, while not being a good drawer, I totally enjoy recording and editing videos, as well as pictures. Once I’m busy with cutting a video to have perfect timings and transitions, time just flies!

In 2015, I won the ''Best Demonstration Video'' Award at the 37th International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE). The video demonstrates the FlexiSketch tool that was developed during my PhD. I did everything from planning, scripting, and filming, to the cutting and editing in the post-production.

Me and a friend decided to start a channel about retro gaming. In our Let’s Plays, we mostly focus on Amiga games. I take care of everything: video recording, video editing, thumbnail design, and the main channel logo (the image below. We used our gamer names Ben and Sammy).
Editing my Life
Sometimes, I need to grab my action cameras and make a cool video out of it. For example, when I go skiing (see the video below. It’s from 2014 when I did not yet own a GoPro, thus the video quality is not the best). And, yes, I am NOT in most of the scenes, because I’m the camera man 😉
Ambient Sound
This was a spontaneous idea. I was walking outside when I noticed that the ambient sound was really nice. I recorded some of it with my Samsung Galaxy S7 and applied some filters in Audacity to make it as crystal clear as I can. It will be great to use this in a game or movie.

Darkness of Evil
This was already a long time ago, in 2003... a movie I made together with my sister and a friend. The shooting took some weeks. Then, it was in post-production for 4 years until 2007 since I did everything by myself 🙂 Below is the DVD cover of the movie.
